Is Merge Images Online free?

Yes. The tool is completely free, with no account, no watermark, and no limit on how many images you merge.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Merging happens entirely inside your browser using a canvas, so your images are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Which image formats can I merge?

You can add PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF files, and you can mix formats in the same merge. Exports are available as PNG, JPG, WebP, or PDF.

How many images can I merge at once?

Up to 30 images in a single merge, arranged in a row, column, or grid.

Will merging reduce my image quality?

No. The tool never enlarges an image beyond its original size, so nothing is blurred by upscaling. Choosing PNG as the output format avoids compression entirely.

Does merging keep transparent backgrounds?

Yes, as long as you export as PNG or WebP. JPG and PDF have no transparency support, so transparent areas become solid white in those exports.

Can I download my merged image as a PDF?

Yes, PDF is one of the export formats. It produces a single-page PDF containing your merged layout, not a separate page per photo, which is right for attaching a combined image somewhere a PDF is expected.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It works in the browser on iPhone and Android exactly as it does on a desktop, and there is no app to install.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once you have loaded the page, the tool is installable and continues to work without a connection.

Where are my images stored between visits?

Your current session is kept in your browser's own storage so you do not lose work on a refresh. It stays on your device, is capped at 100 MB, and is deleted automatically after seven days. You can clear it at any time from the tool.

Can I merge images into a PDF?

Not directly. This tool produces a single combined image. For a multi-page PDF you would need a dedicated PDF tool.

Do you keep a copy of anything I merge?

No. We never receive your images, so there is nothing for us to keep.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email contact@mergeimagesonline.com with what you were doing and what happened. Bug reports are genuinely useful and are read by the person who maintains the tool.
